|
Topic: Technology Support of Traditional Learning
Styles, Technology Providing New learning Tools, Steps in Integrating
Technology into Dance Education
|
What
is the author's main point?
The authors main point is to inform his audience
how technology integrated into dance education is a great way to enhance
the learning environment, and better help students to perform better
through their individual learning styles.
|
|
What
does the author say?
The author says that technology integration
helps students with all learning styles and paces and helps them to grow
and learn more effectively. The
author also says that technology is a new learning tool. It is a new learning tool in that it provides the students
with new learning equipment and things that they can use to aid them while
they are learning.
|
What
do I think?
I
think that this is true because children seem to learn better when
technology is involved. Computer labs where put into elementary schools to aid
students in every subject that they learn.
This made the students more interested in learning.
In Dance education it does the same thing.
Things like film allow students to view how they are supposed to
look when they execute a certain movement.

Topic: Video
in Dance
|
What
is the author's main point?
The authors’ main point was to explain how
video is being integrated into dance, and developing a new dance form as
well.
|
|
What
does the author say? In this passage the author explains a new
dance from. This dance from
involves the manipulation of video through dance, and the manipulation of
dance through video. They
work hand and hand in this art form.
Technology is creating new art forms often and this happens to be a
newly developing from.
|
What
do I think?
I think that technology creates new things in
the art of dance as a whole. When
technology creates these new things dance education evolves and changes as
well. Although this form is
newly developing, the art from will probably be taught and possibly
learned in schools.
