Database Activity

How can I use databases for teaching and learning?

In my future classroom, I can use databases to track my students’ grades for quick and easy calculating.  I will also use databases to store student and parent contact information to help open the lines of communication in my classroom.  I would also like to be able to create personalized letters and simple gifts for each student and a database would help me to create something nice-looking.

How can I use databases to personalize instruction for every student's unique needs?

I will use databases to personalize instruction for every student’s unique needs by quickly printing grades to help students keep track of their grades.  Ideally, I would like to be able to do this on a weekly basis so that students do not feel overwhelmed by assignments or grades and are fully aware of how the areas they are doing well in and where they need to improve. If there is a student who needs help with organization, I would use a database to create an organizational chart to help them remember what supplies are needed, homework and items for their parents.
