In Spirit (Dreamchaser Films) is one of the most daring and meaningful films that I've had the chance to work on. To bring a new level of depth to the storyboards, we worked out a new method of image description.

.: The Dying of the Light (2006)

The Dying of the Light presented many unique problems, such as lighting the interior of a coffin attractively while maintaining the illusion of only one source. Thus, these storyboards weren't just a help to Mike during production, they were slates on which I could work out my desired lighting scheme during preproduction.

.: Under the Sun (2006)

Under the Sun was the first production I'd done with Dreamchaser Filmworks since Elevator. Because the story was told using nothing but visuals and ambient sound, special care was taken to make sure that each shot not only propelled the story but also held strong visual interest. I used programs that allowed Mike to virtually stand over my shoulder and guide my work as it was drawn, despite being hundreds of miles away. This close communication resulted in fantastic storyboards that surpassed the expectations of both of us.
