Many people are worried about their jobs, but I bet if you are in the field of Debt Counseling, then you are not worried about job security. I personally don't really know whether this is true or not. I do know that if you are in debt, then you really do need to get the creditors off your back and come up with a reasonable repayment plan so that you don't go bankrupt. Most credit counseling companies will help you consolidate your debt and will set up a monthly payment plan that you can afford. They can also help you work out a budget, which quite honestly is the reason that most people don't have any money. Learning to budget is an important skill that needs to be learned by anyone who is handling money, even if it is just for your family's money. Getting your credit straight now can really help you out in the future. The economy will bounce back, and when it does you want to be on a secure financial footing. You also need financial counseling to help you find places that you can save money. The more money that you can put aside with the tightening economy, the better off you will be. It is really time to get your debts paid off, avoid using your credit cards, and bring yourself and your family to a more financially secure place. This will be the only way to survive this economic downturn.
