six sigma certification
When I first took the six sigma certification course with my previous employer, I didn't really give it much thought. I thought they had many good ideas about business management, however, I have worked for several different employers and they all seem to want you to take different seminars or training courses along the way. I have always taken whatever courses were available to me, knowledge is power and I want to learn as much as I can. Well, recently when I was applying to a new company and they asked what type of training I have had in the past, I listed my six sigma certification and I got an interview almost immediately. When I was at the interview the human resources director was excited that I had had the training as they were just beginning to implement the six sigma training in their company as well. I was offered the job and got a higher salary for having the six sigma training under my belt.
I am so grateful that I took this training and to my former employer for offering this training at no cost to me. I guess when I was taking the course I just didn't realize how valuable it was to companies. I went online and looked it up after the interview and found out that many of the large companies are looking toward six sigma as an employee development program. The great thing is that I didn't even realize that this was a growing trend in the business world and now I am a more valuable employee than I ever was before and hopefully this will allow me to move up more quickly with this new company.
Six sigma training is well worth looking into in every avenue of the business world and if your employer offers this training program to you at little or no cost to you, then by all means take advantage of it. It may not only help you to advance with the company you are with, but it may provide you with more job opportunities in the near future.
