I have always been a big believer in the phrase, “it's all about who you know”. I really do think that not necessarily only who you already know, but who you reach out to helps you to succeed. Networking is something that we have always been taught. I went to a high school where college prep was basically all we did. We learned how to interview and take tests and get involved. But the most important thing that I learned was to reach out to people and network. Some day we will have to find jobs and when we do hopefully we have networked enough to know someone who can get us in. We are all going to be qualified grade wise and have gone above and beyond so it really does come down to who you know and finding someone to get you into the program and help you out.
