| Digital manipulation allows the artist to achieve almost anything that can be imagined with an image. A fine example of this is The Giant, a composite image that challenges the eye and the mind. The setting is what appears to be a library or some other large public space with a large staircase in the foreground. In the middle of the mid-level on the staircase stands what appears to be a 30 foot tall woman. The woman is elderly, large breasted, and entirely naked. The gaze of the viewer is immediately transfixed on the woman and her elegant posture. There are people around her that seem to pay her no mind. The viewers mind immediately starts racing imagining the possibilities of what is going on in the image. The attention to detail on behalf of the artist now pays off as even the slightest details all have a purpose in steering the viewers thought processes. |
