THE ALCHEMIST The alchemist Paul coelho
"A wonderful tale. A metaphor of life."

As an avid reader, I don't have a favourite book. However, this one would definately fall in my top 10 must-read list. It's not just a facinating book of one boy's journey through various lands aimlessly seeking his life-calling, it seems. Moreover, the passion that he displays leaves one awestruck by the depths to which one would go to find what they seek. As fate would have it, home is where the heart is, a fact that he eventually finds out.

This book was a recommendation by a frind, and these are the two morals of the story that came forth:

  • You don't where you're going if you don't know where you're coming from. Sound familiar? Don't belittle the place you call home. That could where your 'treasure lies.
  • Like the lady in waiting in the book, many people cross our path in our travels through life, each teaching us patience, respect, love and so on. Inevitably we choose those that we'll hold on to...return to...

Think I have good taste? Check these out:

To cut a long story short Jeffrey Archer

I'm really into short stories. Don't take long, but definately get the point across.

Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less

...just when they thought they had it all...

The sky is falling. Sidney Sheldon

As a biology major, I am intrigued by the works of the mind...or lack there of. Acually based on true facts!
