Paying tuition isn't always easy
Finding ways to pay for college is not always easy.  Some students get themselves into debt by using credit cards, and some find alternative routes such as the military to take care of their tuition.
  • The average undergraduate has $2,200 in credit card debt.
  • If a student sticks to the minimum payments it would take a student more than 12 years and $1,115 in interest to pay off a $1,000 bill on a card with 18 percent annual rate.
  • The interest rate can be as high as 20 percent for the unpaid amount left over each month.
