| Resume I am a dedicated student at Towson University, studying in the field of History in a secondary education track. My reasons for perusing this major are consistent with my personality. I am an energetic and over the top type of person, who thinks one his feet and out of the box. The field that I feel I need is one that is bigger than myself, teaching is a noble profession. It is a profession that I believe can grow my imagination along with my knowledge. My previous experience with this particular field starts with a camp at Maryland school for the Blind, conducting a group of 3-4 children from ages 5-8 with Downs syndrome. Their I became a counselor a n advisor an a college of the system. My role was to maintain orderly and energetic classroom situations. It was a seasonal position but to say the least I loved it. I then followed a different path and perused an art degree from the Maryland Institute of Art, although I came up just short I received the skill to live regularly as a working artist. You may have seen my work as your driving your car because I'm the one who paints those obnoxious slogans on car dealerships. Anyway as my path veered to its original state I worked as an assistant coach at Overlea Council, Its hard to let the game go. With this experiences I gained even more confidence in my craft and began honing it for the next assignment. I began to teach a class a respected gym called introduction to boxing camp were I instructed at the least 11 members. Directly after their was an intramural section with children as I instructed them on proper skills in boxing. Again in this exercise required stamina, leadership, organization, planning and devotion. My educational experience starts in the Baltimore county school system , at Eastern Technical Senior high school were I studied Computer Graphics and Commercial Design along with my general studies. In this program I was able to receive college credit and establish a future portfolio. I engaged in junior varsity and varsity soccer, lacrosse, and track receiving three letters in my tenure. I was also a part of the student advisory board and student help hotline. After high school I attended Essex Community college and graduated with my Associate of Arts Degree, mostly choosing electives in history and Art backgrounds. After a brief stint in MICA I enrolled at Towson University with the hopes of attaining a major in secondary education. I am now residing as a junior and will be graduating in the Spring of 07'. |
