As a long-time Baltimore City Resident, I have noticed the push for city residents to recycle.  City residents are provided recycle bins, upon moving into the city, and are also provided free recycle pick-up services.  There are also facilities in nearly every city district that will provide extra, or new, recycle bins and allow residents to drop-off any recyclable and hazardous items that the public pick-up may not collect (i.e. computers, refrigerators, etc.).  I have also noticed over the years the introduction of several environmentally friendly businesses that also encourage recycling.  With such a huge push for city residents to  and many of them doing so, I began to question where all of the recycled items go and what they are being used for.

I decided to research the topic of the Baltimore City recycle system, via the internet.  The following links will include a summary of the search engines I used to perform my research and a qualitative and quantitative analysis of those sources.
