This website is primarily a website for parents whom are interested in home schooling for their children or have children in home schooling.  It has a lot of tips that are useful for parents with home schooled children.  There are links on all the different academic topics such as mathematics and geography.  There are also links to other home schooling websites that could help answer questions parents may have.  There are lesson plans, and also products.

Authority
(Author of site:  individual/institutional, organization Domain type [edu, org, com, gov], credentials, expertise, contact information)

Who is responsible for the site?

The person responsible for this site is a mother who has two home schooled children.  After finding all the information about home schooling on the net, she decided to compile them into one site to make it easier for parents to find out useless information and not bother with the worthless information.

Objectivity
(Purpose, target audience, information fact or opinion, obvious bias)

The purpose of this site is to inform and help parents to educate their home schooled children with more ease.  The target audience is parents who home school their children.  The information isn’t objective.  It’s only information about home schooling like lesson plans, and worksheets, it even had a link to a program that can help parents create worksheets catered to the ability of their child.

Is the purpose of the site clear, including any particular viewpoint?

Yes.  It is apparent that she wants to help parents who are going through the same thing that she was going through earlier.  It is very versatile and tackles many issues and aspects dealing with the academics of home schools.

Accuracy
(Facts documented or well-researched, links provided to quality web resources)

Is the information accurate?

Yes.  She has all the links and websites that she got the home school information and worksheets from.

Currency
(Evidence of current content, page date-stamped with latest update)

Is the information current?  When was this site last updated/copyrighted?

Last updated 11/06/2005, so it is fairly recent.  The site is copyrighted © 2001.

Usability
(Site organized and easy to follow, content readable by intended audience, information error-free, links back to index page, page loads quickly)

Is the site well designed?

Yes.  It is very organized.  There is a table of contents on the homepage that has links to all the information.  It’s easy to use.

Are the links to other resources current?

Yes, most of the sites are recently updated.

Personal Use

Is this site appropriate for use in your research paper?  Why or why not?

It depends.  It shows how there is a lot of support for the parents and students of home schools and how they aren’t in the dark.  This can be a useful point in the essay, but the website itself shows no information for my exact topic.
