through dance" -Ballet Nouveau Colorado interests me because of its unique ballet style that fuses classical ballet, contemporary ballet, and modern styles of dance and because of the partnerships they hold with elementary schools in the area. Audition: -They recruit talent by having performances, a school and by displaying audition information on their website. They expect dancers to have strong ballet technique, but still be able to find the weight and freedom of modern dance. For the audition process you must send in: - a cover letter - resume - references and letters of recommendation - a head shot - a dance photo - and a DVD video If they feel you are qualified from the information you send in, then your official audition will be attending a company class or rehersal with the artistic director watching. - Outreach includes working with elementary schools in the area to further their education through dance. |
