I am from Hunt Valley, Md, which is 10-15 north of Towson. I love to cook and enjoy spending time with family and friends. I listen to a wide range of music from rap, to country, and and alternative music. I also enjoy watching movies. I have to admist I love the chick flicks, but I also like 80's movies, such as Pretty In Pink, and Sixteen Candles. I like Italian mafia movies, and comedies. Stay tuned for more interesting facts about me.

I believe, that computers enhance creativity because there are so many resources to use as starting off points for creativity. In a few seconds a person can look at artwork in Italy or grafetti in New York. Computers are also used for graphic arr, commericals, and movies. Much of what we see in action movies is with the help of computers, computers, make something that is impossible to create in real life, come to life on the big screen. Computer can also inhibit creativity, becuase everyone can copy from each other and there are only a certain amounts of ways to do something. But I believe that computer enhance more than hinder creativity.

Final Project Submission Report

The project is finally done! I have many positive feelings about my end product. Although it is not as polished as I want it to be and also not as advanced as I had imagined, I am still happy with it. I believe if I had more time, if I did not have so many finals around the same time, or more importantly if I were more comfortable with Macromedia Flash, then I would have been able to make a more professional animated video clip. This semester is the first time I was introduced and even became aware of the program. Except for the time in class, I basically had to teach myself what I could do with the program and how to do all of the tasks. It was a “learn as I go” project. But I think that it was good, because I really got a good feel for the program. If you recall, in the beginning I didn’t really like the program, I even said that the Paint program was more user friendly than Macromedia. But I take that back. Towards the end of the project I was becoming more comfortable with the program. I also completed the end of the project in more time than the beginning, because I was more aware of different ways, and short cuts to accomplish what I wanted.

I think that each person’s abilities are different with this project. What might be an amateur project (perhaps like mine) compared to some one that is more advanced does not necessarily mean that it is not as good. It just means that the people are at two different levels in their abilities to use the program.

I am proud of my work, because it came from scratch. And I truly am going to use this video for my club. This class was also very helpful because in addition to the video I am going to create a website for the club, and this is going to be on the main page, or one of the supplement pages. I think before I use it I am going to put more information in it, for example, events that we have done and actual pictures of the group.

I have enjoyed this class, the title; “Computers and Creativity” is really representative of the point of the class. From the very beginning I was able to see my creativity transformed into programs on the computer. And especially after using Macromedia, I have a new found appreciation for all of the computer animated movies that are being developed today! I believe that having the ability to use this program will be useful in future classes!
