Hello again, my name is Abdul Akinyemi. I was born and raise in Nigeria, a British colonized country west of Africa. I moved to the United States of America when I was around the age of 12 which was in October 1997, and I have resided in the state of Maryland since. I live with my older sister and mother. Many people ask me how why I move to the United states and the only logical explanation I can give without telling them a long story is for better education and the endless opportunities. Things in this country are not that much different from things in Nigeria, but America is "govern by the people" at least they say unlike Nigeria which is corrupted by the government. The rich are getting richer, while the poor are getting poorer. The government control the oil industries in Nigeria and for them to use the money to better the country, they put it in their own pocket. I hope to return back to the motherland one day with the hope to help turn around some of the crisis they are currently facing.
